Aguiyi Ironsi died at the age of 42 after being assassinated by group of Northern Nigeria soldiers on the 29 of July 1966 by an open rebellion against his Government which was led by Major Murtala Mohammed.
Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi is the wife of the first major General of Nigeria. Aguiyi Ironsi was happily married to Victoria. Their union was blessed with a son by name Thomas Aguiyi Ironsi.
Victoria Aguiyi Ironsi is a fashion designer who is known to be very hard working even at her old age.
