An unidentified person has been confirmed dead on the spot after a gas exploded burning him to death in the Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State.
The gas explosion happened on Sunday at the Golden Estate in Ijebu-Ode.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, while confirming the incident, explained that security operatives have been deployed to the scene.

“One person died and his corpse has been taken to the state general hospital morgue in Ijebu-Ode.”
On the number of persons injured, Oyeyemi said, “No one sustained injury. The explosion affected one person who died immediately while others scampered for safety,” Oyeyemi said.
It will be a sad day for the family of the dead person and the incident will not be soon forgotten by the residents of the estate.
