Another Batch Of 331 Stranded Nigerians Return From UAE, Total Now 2042

Another batch of 331 Nigerians stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to the coronavirus pandemic have arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 14:24 pm.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM announced this via Twitter on Friday, August 7.

According to NIDCOM, this brings the number of evacuees from the UAE to a total of 2,042.

The returnees, who tested negative for COVID-19 before departure, are expected to self-isolate for 14 days according to the protocol of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

They are also expected to take another Covid-19 test before rejoining society.

Ekohotblog also reported on Wednesday, August 5 that the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission announced the arrival of 306 Nigerians stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to the coronavirus pandemic at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
