- Governor Sanwo-Olu celebrates World Habitat Day, promises to provide shelter for every Lagosian.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has promised that his administration would create a sustainable mega city where every Lagosian would enjoy good and affordable shelter.
The Governor who disclosed this in his speech to mark World Habitat Day stated that the theme of this year which is ‘Housing For All’: A Better Urban Future’ has coincided with his administration policy to provide housing for all.

Governor Sanwo-Olu maintained that since assumption of office, his government has completed a number of housing estates and various housing projects which are at different stages of completion.
The Governor further revealed that in order to increase the stock of available housing in Lagos, the State Government has entered into partnership with private sector developers with the aim of making sure that has every Lagosian has a roof over their head before his administration comes to end.
