Boy Testing Local Bulletproof Potency Shot Dead By Lover

It was a mixture of pandemonium and anguish at Nelson Mandela Street in Calabar, Cross river state capital after a young man was untimely sent to the world beyond while trying to test the potency of a local charm.

The young man whose identity is not revealed was  shot dead by his girlfriend who acted on his order.

The young man with the sobriquet “Email”, sells marijuana and was in the company of his friends when the incident happened.

The Nation reports that the incident happened at Nelson Mandela Street, Calabar South, opposite the Assembly of God Church.

Younger brother to the girl explained that her sister, Blessing by name was a friend to deceased “email”.

He said his sister at about 11.am on the fateful day passed by the compound of the late boyfriend at the time he, the deceased, was with his group of friends and they had taken local concoctions including native charms to protect them against guns and bullet shots.

The group of friends after taking the concoctions started testing the efficacy of the anti-gunshots charms among themselves.

His friends tested and the charm proved effective but the deceased young man chose to ask the girlfriend to use the gun to shoot at him to test the efficacy of the charm on him.

Unfortunately, the gun shot from the girl penetrated and he collapsed and died instantly.

In the ensuing pandemonium, some friends of the deceased, in a fit of rage, descended on her with matchets and other sharp weapons that left big gash and bruises on her body before the Police were called in.
