A Day After Sunday Igboho’s Visit, Fulani Settlement Set Ablaze In Ogun

Barely 48 hours after popular Yoruba activist paid visit to Ogun State, the Fulani settlement in Igua area of Yewa North, has been set on fire by some irate youths.

Igboho had on Monday visited the Yewa axis of Ogun, saying he was there to rescue the Yoruba’s from killer herdsmen terrorising the area.

Although the Ogun State Government in statement denied asking for Igboho’s help to resolve the security challenges facing the people of the state.

However Igboho during the one day visit threatened to chase away herdsmen from their hideouts in the bush.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the house of the Sarkin Fulani of Igua, Alhaji Adamu Oloru, was allegedly set ablaze by youths who were in the community with Sunday Igboho.

Other houses belonging to Fulanis as well as a cattle market were reportedly torched.

According to reports the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, has confirmed the incident.
