The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita, made the disclosure on Thursday.
The governor’s aide disclosed that Ayade made his defection known in a meeting with six APC governors who visited him at the Government House on Wednesday.
“It is true. We are there now. He has just declared for the APC,” he disclosed.
