Namek Solutions is an Abuja-based startup specializing in providing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to development organizations, the private sector, and Governments in Africa. The key management members at Namek Solutions have provided a wide range of services in the past. As many governments in Africa transition from strategy development to digital services implementation; Namek Solutions is repositioning to support such services.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Junior Software Developer (Intern / NYSC)

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for an incumbent to research into and hit the ground running with the NodeJS and Python projects.
  • The ideal candidate will be a fast learner and must be passionate about building and delivering software projects for societal impact.
  • The incumbent will learn to use Git, JavaScript, NodeJS, and Python-Django.
  • Other responsibilities will be assigned as required to achieve this goal. The incumbent will work within a small yet, result-oriented team.

Reporting Line:

  • The incumbent will work closely with the Lead architect and report to the Product Manager.

Qualifications

  • We are seeking an intern or NYSC member with a Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
  • Advanced computer use is a requirement for this role. Intermediate knowledge of Git, NodeJS, or Python, and Django will be an added advantage. Prior knowledge of any other programing language may be considered.

Experience:

  • One year of experience is required for this role. Evidence of software-related certification will be an added advantage.
