EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 237,561 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 26, the NCDC reports 1,547 new cases with 8 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 10 states – FCT-806, Lagos-401, Borno-166, Oyo-78, Ogun-47, Osun-30, Ekiti-7, Katsina-7, Kano-4 and Jigawa-1.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Bauchi, Ondo, Plateau, Rivers and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 212,550 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 3,022.
