  • Application for Admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy NDA 74th Regular Course – Lagosians advised to apply

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Lagosians have been called to apply for the ongoing Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA,  online application for admission into its 74th Regular Course (Degree Programme) which has been on since Monday 25 October 2021 and will end on Thursday 31 March 2022.

This is a call to all Lagosians to not only see this as a patriotic duty, an opportunity to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nigeria but an employment opportunity for the teeming youths who are wandering around the streets of Lagos.

Again, Statistics have shown that Lagos state indigenes have not been adequately represented in the Nigeria Army and the reason for this is not far-fetched – the cavalier attitude of Lagosians towards the recruitment exercise.

As a result, the Lagos state quota is usually filled up by other ethnic groups or state of the Federation.

Indigenes are advised to take advantage of this golden opportunity and be part of the noble profession.

Interested candidates are advised to go online and complete the application here

NDA disclosed that only successful candidates at its Entrance Examination will subsequently be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board following which the list of admitted candidates will be published.

On the nature and duration of training, candidates admitted into NDA for the Regular Course are expected to undergo military and academic training as Officer Cadets for a duration of five years, after which they will earn a honours degree in a core discipline (BSc, BEng, BA) upon successful completion of training. They will equally earn a commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Administration: All Regular Course cadets will train in NDA and the cost of their administration and logistics will be borne by the Federal Government.

Reference Materials: In response to requests from candidates for reference materials, the Academy has offered a Compendium of Past Questions & Answers to interested candidates which can be purchased from the Academy Registry, NDA.
