EKO HOT BLOG reports that the names of the nominees earlier submitted to Bola Ahmed Tinubu to pick his vice presidential candidate from have been revealed.

Recall that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had on Sunday announced the former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.

According to Daily Trust, the Planning and Strategy Committee of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation (TCO) recommended eleven names for Tinubu to choose from as his running mate.

It said that the committee was headed by the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal.

The committee recommended seven persons from the North East and four persons from the North West geopolitical zones.

It was learned that the panel did not recommend any person from the North Central geopolitical zone because the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, is from the region.

Below are the names of the nominees recommended as Tinubu’s running mate.

Former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima

Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara

Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed

Ambassador Fatima Balla

Senator Anthony Manzo
