EKO HOT BLOG reports that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has reportedly picked a new date to present his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima to the party’s leadership.
Except for any last-minute change that may happen, Tinubu will officially present Shettima to the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and its National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu on Wednesday, 20th July.
The presentation is expected to take place at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
It will be recalled Tinubu on Sunday, July 4, in Daura Katsina State during a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, unveiled former Borno State Governor, Shettima as his running mate.
The unveiling automatically means the APC will be fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election – a development that has attracted widespread criticism from Nigerians.
The official unveiling was to have been done last week but was postponed by the party.
