Illegal task force officials arrested for disrupting NLC protest

EKO HOT BLOG reports that during the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC)-organized protest in Lagos on Tuesday in support of the on strike Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), security personnel detained members of an illegal task force.
After apprehending an offender, the task force officials—which included a driver and other team members—made a scene.
According to sources, the scenario prompted several union members to intercede, but it led to tense arguments.

It however took the timely intervention of the security operatives deployed to protest ground to arrest the situation.
The task force officials were arrested and have been taken to the police station.
The police however declined to speak.
