Chelsea Set To Land Second RB Leipzig Signing After Shock Nkunku Swoop
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly could sanction a double raid on RB Leipzig in his bid to bring major silverware back to Stamford Bridge after Christopher Nkunku’s secret medical.
The Blues co-owner, chairman and interim sporting director has been open about his plans to create a multi-club model in the style of both Manchester City and Red Bull GmbH.

Taking that interest one step further, Chelsea are reportedly negotiating terms over the transfer of Nkunku while adding their club chief to a list of candidates.
The Standard report that Leipzig chief Christopher Vivell has been added to their wish list after the club missed out on Red Bull Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund.
With Chelsea looking for both a sporting director and technical director, the report adds that interview process will step up next month.
Vivell, who has been a director at Leipzig since back in 2020, has responsibility over transfers and scouting having previously been at Salzburg alongside Freund.
Boehly is said to be keen on handing over transfer duties before the World Cup begins in November, with talks said to have taken place with Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Tim Steidten.
Boehly reportedly wants to improve the global brand of Chelsea as part of his ‘long-term vision’ as well as bringing the club more major silverware.
He said earlier in the year: “Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success.”
The Vivell update comes after Fabrizio Romano report that Chelsea were keen to keep Nkunku’s medical secret – and that no terms over fees have yet been agreed.
Nkunku has made eight appearances for France so far in 2022 having scored a total of 35 goals last season in his third campaign in Germany.
