The LP presidential candidate recalled that in 2012, Benue, Anambra, and other states were similarly affected and the Federal Government and Nigerians rallied in support of flood victims, especially the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said about 2.5 million persons have been affected and over 603 persons killed following the flood disaster which hit parts of Nigeria in the last two months.
