Family, Friends, Others Pay Tribute To Late Prince Bolaji Bamgboye At Commendation Service

Eko Hot Blog reports that family and friends bid late Pa. Prince Dr. Bolaji Adekunle Bamgboye a befitting farewell after he died at the ripe age of 89 years old.

Friends, family, and relatives delivered glowing tributes to the deceased at a classic commendation service held last Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Nnamdi Azikiwe Street, Tinubu Square, in Lagos State.

This medium gathered that the event started with prayers and a welcoming speech from the church’s presiding pastor, Reverend Johnathan Bamidele Oshin, who also introduced the first hymn recitation of the service and continued the coordination of the service with other ministers as they proceeded with Bible sayings and preaching.

The attendees united to give thanks to God for the life of the late Dr Bamgboye, which was well spent.

They also described him as a legend for his positive contributions to other people’s lives during his lifetime.

The inspiring service ended with a short praise session, which transformed into a live musical performance to appreciate all attendees, including families, relatives, friends, and loved ones, as they all cheered in the celebration of life.

In an interview session after the service, children, families, relatives, and friends took turns to share their thoughts about the colourful life that the deceased lived.

The late Prince Bamgboye’s first daughter, High chief Dr Anu Adekunbi Esuola Erelu of Ojoko kingdom, disclosed that her father was from a royal family that produces the Ooni of Ife.

She noted that he spent most of his lifetime outside Nigeria, adding that he had nine wives with eleven children and was a well-loving father to all his children.

Similarly, the late Prince Bamgboye’s second son, Yinka Bamgboye, praised his father’s positive impact on his life. Although he could not attend the tribute service, his children were there. He added that he looks forward to the one-year remembrance celebration of his late father.

On his part, the assistant to the Ooni of Ife, Prince Dr Makiwa Adereti, referred to the late Dr Bamgboye as a historical nobleman from Ife.

He stated that the deceased deserved the celebration, considering his immense contributions to humanity.

The late Prince Bamgboye’s nephew, Dr Ebun Bamgboye, also shared his thoughts about the deceased’s lifetime.

He described the deceased as a gentleman who everyone loved. He added that he was happy that the commendation service held in Nigeria because it was an opportunity for those unable to attend the funeral held in the United States.

Many more lovers of the late Prince Bamgboye did not hold back from saying something good about his well-spent life.
