He urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of love and peaceful coexistence, stressing that politics was about the people and their interests.
In the video, which was tagged “Politics is not war”, the veteran actor emphasized that everyone had the fundamental right to make their own political choices, even though their choices may differ from others.
Arinze said:
“Your choice might not be mine and mine might not be yours but whoever you decide to support is within your fundamental right. Why the hate? What we need now is love, not war. Let’s be kind to one another. Let’s stop bullying people because of their preferences and choices. That is not politics. That is foolhardy.”
The veteran actor went further to highlight the importance of making the right choice in the forthcoming general elections, as Nigeria was currently at a crossroads. He called on Nigerians to choose wisely and let there be peace, saying, “Nigeria will be great again. One love Nigeria.”
