The voters also alleged that many of them were disenfranchised and were not allowed to cast their votes.

A voter in the area who spoke with Eko Hot Blog said they left the polling unit late on Saturday night without voting.

The source, who pleaded anonymity, said the voters were asked to return to the polling unit on Sunday morning.

However, the voters were not allowed to vote on Sunday morning when they returned.

“Some of us in Magodo Phase 2 were disenfranchised. We left PU 050 around 10pm, no one gave us any information as per what to do or when to come back, only to get there at 9.40am after church but not allowed to vote,” the voter said.

The source stated that electoral officials told them that voting ended in the midnight and lamented that voters were not properly informed.

“The officials laughed at me saying voting ended 4am! I asked them if we would not sleep nor worship God? No information on what to do but they said we should’ve waited till 4am! This is highly unfair in this day and age,” the voter added.
