EDITOR’S PICKS:

Legal documents obtained by TMZ show that Epps claimed he was in town for a show and forgot that the firearm was in his bag. Upon investigation, police found a .38 Special Airweight with four rounds loaded, but none in the chamber.

The firearm and ammunition were taken as evidence, and officials at the Indianapolis Airport Police confirmed that Epps was not arrested. However, a report was forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if charges should be filed.

Mike Epps, who is a native of Indianapolis, has been a popular figure in the entertainment industry for decades, with notable appearances in films such as “Next Friday,” “All About the Benjamins,” and “The Hangover.” He has also starred in his comedy specials, including “Mike Epps: Under Rated & Never Faded” and “Mike Epps: Don’t Take It Personal.”

This incident comes amid heightened concerns over gun violence in the United States, and airport officials have consistently reminded travelers to comply with gun laws and regulations when flying with firearms.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires that all firearms brought on board a plane must be unloaded, packed in a locked hard-sided case, and declared during the check-in process.
