Enugu Poll: Labour Party Candidate Ends Ex-Gov. Nnamani’s Senatorial Return Bid

  • Labour Party candidate has foiled ex-Governor Nnamani’s bid to return to the Senate.

  • Kelvin Chukwu polled 69, 136 votes to defeat Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 48, 701 votes.

  • Kelvin replaced his brother, Oyibo Chukwu, who was allegedly murdered few days to the Feb. 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the former Governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has lost his return bid to the Senate.
Nnamani lost to the Labour Party candidate, Sir Kelvin Chukwu.

According to the result declared by INEC the LP candidate polled 69, 136 to beat Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 48, 701 votes.

Kelvin replaced his brother, Oyibo Chukwu, who was allegedly murdered few days to the Feb. 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.

It was gathered that Sen. Nnamani was elected into the Senate in 2019 under the platform of PDP.
