Before the commencement of the valedictory session, the cabinet members engaged in lighthearted banter among themselves. Earlier on Wednesday, President Buhari administered the oath of office to seven Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Fiscal and Allocation Commission (RMFC).

This ceremony served as a prelude to the ongoing valedictory session. The newly sworn-in commissioners are Peter Okpara (Imo), Senator Ayogu Eze (Enugu), Kolade Abimbola (Oyo), Rekiya Ayuba-Haruna (Kebbi), Hauwa Aliyu (Jigawa), Ismaila Agaka (Kwara), and Amb Ayuba Ngako representing the FCT.

Before entering into a closed-door session, the FEC was presented with the key highlights of the Health Reform Committee report.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo chaired this committee, which was tasked with developing a roadmap to achieve Universal Health Coverage in Nigeria. The report’s recommendations include enhancing funding for the health sector to exceed 10 percent of the national budget.
