Ayoyemi And Taiwo Tie The Knot As Oba Ogunlaja, Other Royalties Honour Couple

For Ayoyemi Oluwakemi and Taiwo Adebola, Saturday, September 2, 2023, was the start of an eternity together.

The couple tied the knot and had their Solemnization of Holy Matrimony at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Ikeja, Lagos State.

The couple’s marriage ceremony, which witnessed the presence of various dignitaries, including monarchs, on Saturday, featured a church service, an engagement ceremony, and reception.

The church service, which was monitored by Eko Hot Blog, started with a praise and worship by the Choir of the CAC as family, friends, and invited dignitaries took their seats.

Afterwards, Pastor Ayedogbon said the opening prayer, after which the bride, Ayoyemi, was ushered into the hall by her friends to sit beside the groom, Taiwo, who was already seated.

The couple exchanged their marriage vows which was officiated by Pastor SA Akinloye who pronounced the couple husband and wife and prayed for them.

The couple proceeded to exchange their marital rings.

In his sermon, Pastor Ayedogbon of the CAC advised the couple not to deviate from the way of God, urging them to make God the head of their marriage.

According to the preacher, putting God first will make their marriage fruitful.

The couple then sang and danced, giving thanks to God for their new marriage before Pastor SA Akinloye said the closing prayer.

The newlyweds went on to take pictures with family and friends.

The church service was immediately followed by a culturally rich engagement ceremony which held at the Time Square Events in Ikeja, Lagos.

Both parents gave their blessings and the couple took pictures as they cut their traditional wedding cake

Subsequently, the reception began at the same venue as dignitaries and royal fathers were already seated.

HRM Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja, the paramount ruler of Odo Noforija kingdom of Epe, Lagos, and other royal fathers graced the occasion.

The bride and groom danced into the reception venue with their friends as other well-wishers joined the couple in celebrating their special day.
