Eko Hot Lagos, Nigeria (March 6, 2024) In a strategic move to bolster agricultural development, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and his counterpart from Niger State, Governor Mohammed Bago, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday at the Lagos House in Marina.

The signing ceremony, witnessed by high-ranking officials from both states, including commissioners and special advisers, marked a significant step toward enhancing cooperation in the agricultural sector and promoting food security.

Olanrewaju Layode (Commissioner for Home Affairs, Lagos State), Mr. Ope George (Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Lagos State), Ms. Abisola Olusanya (Commissioner for Agriculture, Lagos State), and Dr. Rotimi Fashola (Special Adviser on Agriculture, Lagos State).

The signing of the MoU is expected to pave the way for increased collaboration, knowledge sharing, and joint initiatives that will strengthen the agricultural sectors of both states, ultimately contributing to food security, job creation, and economic diversification.
