Tella, making his 15 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, has now netted five goals and bagged one assist for the German club.
The Nigerian international opened scoring in the 37th minute with a brilliant finish after receiving a nice pass from Grimaldo.
Bayer Leverkusen extended their lead in the 86th minute through Florian Wirtz’s wonderful right foot shot.
The victory means Bayer Leverkusen sit top of the log on 67 points while Wolfsburg sit 13th on 24 points.
