The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn in the new Accountant General Dr Abiodun Muritala, for the state’s Treasury Office.
Dr Abiodun Muritala was appointed as the new Accountant General of the State’s Treasury on Sunday and was sworn in on Monday at the State House Ikeja.
Prior to the appointment of Muritala, he was General Manager Finance, Lagos State Development and Property Commission LSDPC. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management.
In an exclusive interview with Ekohotblog.com , Muritala described his appointment as a call to serve and an opportunity to contribute his own quota to the development of the state and help to drive the policy of inclusion of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
At different times Muritala had served as Council Treasurer, Epe local government. He was also the Project Accountant for Lagos Metropolitan Development and Governance Project (LMDGP), a World Bank assisted project geared towards the provision of critical infrastructures in selected slums of Lagos state.

He has also attended many professional courses and seminars both locally and internationally.
The Governor however, in his key note address urged the newly sworn in Accountant General to work tirelessly to bring the dividend of democracy to the people of Lagos.
