American based Entertainment Consultant, Avid Enie, popularly known as “Gabriel Da Vinnie” on Thursday praised the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Enie, who is also the Managing Director, Cranium Records Incorporation, while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, described the sector as `fantastic and booming.’
He said this was evident as some genres of Nigerian indigenous music were being exported and embraced in foreign countries.

According to him, Afro-beat which was indigenous to Nigeria had become internationally recognised, giving kudos to the musicians who made remarkable contributions to the successes recorded so far.
“The Nigerian music industry is fantastic at this point, I have lived in the states for 20 years now, just coming back into the country to explore the entertainment industry.
“I have heard a lot about Nigerian entertainment chain but I came to see it myself and I must confess it is great, it is in good shape.
“From Atlanta, New York and Houston, I hear people talk about Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and a host of others, I commend them for their hard work,” he said.
Enie urged the Federal Government to create functional censoring body for proper scrutiny of Nigerian music before being released into the market locally and internationally.
