Junior Pope: Governor Offers Comprehensive Support To Family Of Late Nollywood Makeup Artist

Eko Hot Blog reports that Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has provided extensive support to the family of the late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigail Frederick, who tragically passed away in a boat mishap alongside actor Junior Pope.

During a condolence visit to Abigail’s family in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area, Governor Eno announced that he has offered an automatic employment in the state civil service to Abigail’s elder sister. He also directed the renovation of the family’s house and promised government assistance for the two undergraduate sisters of the deceased.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ekerete Udoh, said that Eno expressed deep emotions over the untimely demise of the 24-year-old, stating, “This is deeply unfortunate, a young girl, 24 years old, who, finished her Youth Service just last year, and decided to pursue her passion.”

Eno emphasized that the government would stand by the family during this difficult time, saying, “You know Akwa Ibomites are like Americans. We don’t leave each other behind. Government will be with the family and support them.”
