The family of the late Nigerian gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has spoken out regarding the cause of her death.
This follows the circulation of a viral video suggesting that Aduke Gold had passed away due to complications from fibroid surgery.

The rumors gained traction online, with fans and industry colleagues expressing their grief over her unexpected death.
However, in a video shared on social media, her brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, clarified the true cause of death.
He confirmed that Aduke Gold died of cervical cancer at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan on Monday, August 12, 2024.
He urged those spreading false information to stop and emphasized the importance of obtaining accurate details from reliable sources.
“Whoever is spreading misinformation should desist.
“Our daughter had cervical cancer, and she was treated at UCH in Ibadan, where she unfortunately passed away. The claims about fibroid surgery are entirely false.
