President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dismissed Jalal Arabi as Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and appointed Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the new Executive Chairman.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Jalal Arabi is currently defending himself against corruption charges brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced the appointment on Monday, highlighting Usman’s credentials as a distinguished academic with qualifications from the University of Madinah and Peshawar University in Pakistan.

Usman also brings extensive experience in Hajj operations, having served as Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Board, where he managed the largest quota of state pilgrims in Nigeria.
