NFF Appoints Aliyu Zubairu As Flying Eagles Head Coach

The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially endorsed the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Aliyu Zubairu as the new head coach of the country’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles.

Zubairu’s appointment, which takes effect immediately, follows his impressive achievements as the head coach of El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.

Under his leadership, the club clinched the prestigious President Federation Cup in June, triumphing over Abia Warriors FC in a thrilling final held in Lagos.

Beyond this cup victory, Zubairu also played a pivotal role in guiding El-Kanemi Warriors to promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), further solidifying his reputation as a skilled and capable coach.

In his new role, Zubairu faces the immediate challenge of assembling and preparing a competitive squad for the upcoming WAFU B U-20 Championship.
