Lagos Extends Work-from-Home Policy for Three More Months

The Lagos State Government has extended its work-from-home policy for employees for an additional three months.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the extension in a circular issued by the state Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the initial directive from the governor on February 28 allowed workers to work remotely on certain days.

Workers on grade levels 01 to 14 were permitted to work from home two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 could work remotely for one day a week.

The decision was intended to ease the impact of the fuel subsidy removal on workers.

In the circular, Sanwo-Olu noted that the policy had positively influenced productivity across ministries, departments, and agencies.

The extension took effect on September 4.
