Cristiano Ronaldo Predicts Future Ballon d’Or Winners

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has identified four players he believes are likely to win the Ballon d’Or in the near future.

Earlier this month, Ronaldo was notably absent from the 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist for the second consecutive year.

The Al Nassr forward last claimed the prestigious award in 2017, finishing second in 2018 and third in 2019.

With a new winner set to be crowned at the upcoming ceremony in Paris on October 28, Ronaldo shared his predictions for future Ballon d’Or recipients.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star said, “Kylian Mbappe could win the Ballon d’Or in the next few years, and probably [Erling] Haaland and [Jude] Bellingham as well.”

Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate, Rio Ferdinand, also weighed in, adding, “Vinicius Junior.” Ronaldo then mentioned, “And also Lamine Yamal.”
