Rodrygo Urges Neymar’s Return For Brazil To Win 2026 World Cup

Real Madrid’s Rodrygo has emphasized the crucial role Neymar plays for Brazil, asserting that his presence is essential for the team to win the 2026 World Cup.

The 23-year-old forward scored the lone goal in Brazil’s 1-0 victory over Ecuador on Friday, ending their three-match losing streak in the CONMEBOL qualifiers. Rodrygo highlighted Neymar’s importance to the team’s success.

“He’s our star, our best player,” Rodrygo stated in an exclusive interview with ESPN Brasil. “Anyone can see it, how much he is missed. Having Neymar healthy, which is what we all want, [and] he is in the final stages of his recovery. We want him back as soon as possible.”

Brazil, who had suffered losses to Uruguay, Colombia, and Argentina, were struggling in sixth place after six rounds of qualifying.
