Tinubu Returns To Nigeria Today After China, UK Visits

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to return to Abuja on Sunday following his official visit to China and a brief stay in the United Kingdom.

Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, announced the president’s return in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday night.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Tinubu left Abuja on August 29 for Beijing, China, with a stopover in Dubai, UAE, and arrived in Beijing on September 1 for the official visit.

On September 6, Tinubu completed his trip to China and traveled to London via Dubai. According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, this marked the conclusion of Tinubu’s official visit.

While in China, Tinubu met with members of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) and the Nigerian community at the China World Hotel, where he promised that his administration would deliver good governance, despite current hardships.

He emphasized that economic reforms, such as the increased petrol price, are necessary for long-term development, including better infrastructure, electricity, and schools.

During his visit, Tinubu described his meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang as successful, noting cooperation in infrastructure, trade, energy, mining, and green economy.
