President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of seven new ministers to his cabinet.

Tinubu said the development was a strategic move to enhance governance and address pressing national issues.

Among the notable appointees is Ambassador Bianca Odimegwu Ojukwu, who takes on the role of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

As the widow of the late Ikemba of Nnewi, Sir Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, her extensive diplomatic experience and connections are expected to bolster Nigeria’s foreign relations.

Jumoke Oduwole, previously the Executive Secretary of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, steps in as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, bringing her expertise in fostering a conducive business environment that is crucial for economic growth.

Other appointments include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, now serving as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, who will focus on addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.

Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi takes on the role of Minister of Labour and Employment, aiming to tackle unemployment and labor issues in the country.

Also, Idi Mukhtar Maiha has been appointed Minister of Livestock Development, a vital position considering Nigeria’s agricultural sector. Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata is now Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, while Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad assumes the role of Minister of State for Education.
