EKO HOT BLOG reports that the construction is set to commence on Monday, November 11, 2024, and is expected to continue until Monday, February 16, 2026. In light of this development, the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, has advised all motorists to seek alternative routes during this period.

Motorists traveling from Apapa to Oshodi will still have through traffic available. However, those heading from Apapa to Badagry should continue on the Apapa–Oshodi Expressway, then turn onto Akinwande Road to link Coker and access the Lagos–Badagry Expressway for their journey.

To assist motorists in navigating the changes, the state government has ensured that all diversion routes are well marked with signage.

Additionally, officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be present along the affected routes to oversee traffic flow and provide assistance.
