Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen played a key role in Galatasaray’s crucial 3-2 home victory over Samsunspor, extending their lead at the top of the league to five points.
Osimhen set the tone early, opening the scoring in the 3rd minute with a powerful header into the right post, igniting the crowd at Galatasaray Stadium.

In the 26th minute, Osimhen came close to doubling the lead but missed, sending a header over the bar from near the penalty spot.
Samsunspor managed to equalize in the 48th minute when a foul by Davinson Sanchez led to a penalty, which Olivier Ntcham calmly converted, bringing the score to 1-1.
Galatasaray regained the lead in the 55th minute as Osimhen capitalized on a rebound, scoring his second goal with another forceful header to make it 2-1.
The home side maintained pressure with attempts from Baris Alper Yilmaz and Abdulkerim Bardakci, both narrowly missing the target.
In the 85th minute, Michy Batshuayi extended Galatasaray’s lead to 3-1, slotting a shot into the bottom right corner.
Samsunspor responded in stoppage time, earning a second penalty after a VAR review, which Youssef Ait Bennasser converted in the 93rd minute to close the gap to 3-2.
