Tomas Soucek put the hosts ahead with a second-half header from a Jarrod Bowen corner. Matt Doherty responded for Wolves with a stunning goal from Rayan Ait-Nouri’s cross, but Bowen netted West Ham’s winner with a composed strike during a frantic period in the second half.
West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus had a goal ruled out for offside following a VAR review, while Wolves had their own grievances after a potential penalty for a shove on Goncalo Guedes by Emerson was not awarded after another review.

Wolves were also upset by Bowen’s winning goal, claiming a foul on Santiago Bueno by West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos in the build-up.
The result leaves West Ham in 14th place, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
