BREAKING: Tinubu Presents ₦47.96 Trillion 2025 Budget to National Assembly

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that  the president unveiled the budget during a session held on Wednesday. He described the 2025 Appropriation Bill as the “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace and Building Prosperity.”

The session was presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen.

Earlier this week, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved an estimated expenditure of ₦47.96 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year. The proposed budget prioritizes infrastructure development, fiscal consolidation, and social investment programs, reflecting the administration’s key spending goals for the year ahead.

President Tinubu emphasized areas such as healthcare, education, security, and infrastructure in his address while acknowledging challenges like inflation, unemployment, and the rising cost of living. He expressed the administration’s commitment to addressing these issues through sustainable economic reforms.
