Joelinton wrapped up the victory in stoppage time, capitalizing on a loose pass from Villa’s Amadou Onana to curl home Newcastle’s third past Emiliano Martinez.
The win lifted Newcastle above both Villa and reigning champions Manchester City in the standings, while Villa slipped to ninth after suffering their fifth consecutive away league defeat.
