Eko Hot Blog reports that the campaign, observed every September, is an initiative of the Lagos State Government aimed at raising awareness on the dangers of domestic and gender-based violence while encouraging citizens to speak out against such acts.

Speaking on the campaign, the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), reiterated the council’s support for the State’s stand against gender-based violence.

“The council stands with the State Government in saying no to any form of gender-based violence,” he declared.

He further assured that Lekki LCDA would continue to promote and support initiatives designed to end domestic and sexual violence within communities.

“Lekki LCDA will continue to support such initiatives; especially as they aim at ending domestic and sexual violence in our society,” Kasali affirmed.

The awareness drive will run throughout September with advocacy activities across the State, focused on prevention, education, and support for survivors.
