Military sources disclosed that the coordinated operations led to the recovery of a large haul of weapons, explosives, and illegally refined petroleum products.
Among the recovered items were high-calibre arms, IED components, CCTV cameras, and bomb-making fragments.
Speaking on the achievements, a security source revealed that troops also dismantled illegal oil refining sites in the Niger Delta region.

Two suspects were arrested in Akwa Ibom and Rivers States with over 2,500 litres of stolen fuel. Additionally, illegal sites containing over 700 litres of crude oil and refined products were uncovered and destroyed in Imo State.
In the Northwest, troops of 17 Brigade in Katsina and 1 Brigade Combat Team in Zamfara rescued 12 kidnap victims.
Troops also carried out successful rescue missions in Nasarawa and Imo States, freeing three more victims.
Operations targeted terrorist camps and logistics hubs, leading to the arrest of six suspects linked to the Lakurawa terror group in Kebbi and Sokoto States.
Several logistics items and cash were recovered during the raids.
“In operations across Kano and Kaduna, troops found empty shell casings and other evidence after terrorists fled the scene,” the source stated.
In Taraba, three individuals impersonating security agents were apprehended and handed over to the police for further investigations.
A major breakthrough was also recorded in Imo State, where troops raided a camp operated by IPOB/ESN fighters.
Sentry posts and an IED factory were destroyed, while multiple explosives planted along major routes were safely disposed of.
Further arms recovery efforts led to the arrest of two armed suspects in Delta State. The duo was found with a pump-action rifle, locally-made pistols, cartridges, and mobile phones.
The rescued victims, according to the source, have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for proper care and reunification with their families.
The source added: “Troops remain committed to dismantling all criminal networks to ensure safer communities.
This will help improve food production and support the government’s push for food security.”
