Olubadan-Designate Ladoja Endorses Governor Adeleke For Second Term

The Olubadan of Ibadanland-designate, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, has formally endorsed Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for a second term in office.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the endorsement was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed. Oba Ladoja, a former Senator and ex-Governor of Oyo State, gave his backing while hosting Governor Adeleke at his Ibadan residence during a congratulatory visit ahead of his coronation scheduled for September 26, 2025.

In his remarks, the monarch drew parallels between his political journey and that of Governor Adeleke, noting their shared experiences as Senators and Governors. He praised Adeleke’s leadership style and achievements in Osun State.

“Every day we hear of your good works in Osun State, and we are proud of the progress you are bringing to your people. Your developmental strides should continue beyond 2026 because no one can stop the good work you are doing. I will personally attend your second-term swearing-in as Olubadan of Ibadan, because one good term deserves another,” Oba Ladoja declared.

He commended Adeleke’s administration, describing his performance as transformative in a state known for its political and economic challenges. The monarch also prayed for Adeleke’s continued success, noting the Adeleke family’s long-standing legacy of public service.

Responding, Governor Adeleke congratulated Oba Ladoja on his historic ascension to the throne, pledging to honor him with a befitting celebration during his coronation. He also expressed gratitude for the monarch’s wise counsel and assured of his commitment to serving the people of Osun diligently.

Governor Adeleke was accompanied on the visit by senior government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye; Chief of Staff, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; Yeyelua Modupeola Sanni-Adeleke; and several Commissioners.
