The Kaduna State Police Command has invited former governor Nasir El-Rufai and several leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for questioning over alleged criminal conspiracy, incitement of public disturbance, mischief, and causing grievous hurt.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a police invitation letter dated September 4, 2025, and signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Uzainu Abdullahi, directed the ADC Kaduna State Chairman to present El-Rufai and seven other party members at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on September 8.

The letter, titled “Investigation Activities: Case of Criminal Conspiracy, Inciting Disturbance of Public Peace, Mischief, and Causing Grievous Hurt,” indicated that the invitation was linked to allegations made by complainants whose details were not disclosed.

“This Department is currently investigating the above mentioned case involving the following members of your party. You are requested to come along with them to SCID to clarify allegations reported against them by the complainants on September 8, 2025,” the letter read.

The individuals named in the invitation include:

  • Nasir El-Rufai

  • Bashir Sa’idu

  • Jafaru Sani

  • Ubaidullah Mohammed, also known as “30”

  • Nasiru Maikano

  • Aminu Abita

  • Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini, also known as “Mikiya”

The police stressed that the invitation formed part of ongoing investigation activities aimed at preserving public peace and order in the state.
