The Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, has announced that the 2025 Job Fair will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Blue Roof, Lagos State Television, Ikeja, Eko Hot Blog reports.
The government said the fair aims to connect thousands of young Lagosians with job and entrepreneurial opportunities across multiple industries under the theme “Your Career, Your Way: Explore Endless Possibilities.”
It noted that the event has become a flagship platform for addressing youth unemployment in the state.

The Job Fair will bring together job seekers, young professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, and leading employers across diverse sectors.
Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe, stated that the fair underscores the state government’s commitment to job creation and skills development, in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda, with a focus on education, technology, and transforming Lagos into a 21st-century economy.
Ajigbotafe added that this year’s edition will feature on-the-spot job interviews, recruitment by top organisations, one-on-one career consultations with industry professionals, and a high-level panel session with business leaders and thought experts discussing strategies for navigating today’s dynamic job market.
Participants will also benefit from breakout workshops covering résumé writing, interview coaching, digital product creation, and entrepreneurship, according to the commissioner.

He highlighted that the 2024 Job Fair recorded over 3,000 participants, many of whom secured meaningful employment, and said the 2025 event will build on that success by bridging the gap between talent and opportunity, equipping young people with digital competencies, career-readiness skills, and access to employment networks.
“By fostering strong partnerships between government, the private sector, and multinational organisations, the Job Fair reinforces Lagos State’s position as Nigeria’s hub of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development,” Ajigbotafe said.
The Permanent Secretary, Esv. Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka, encouraged job seekers, graduates, and professionals to register and take advantage of the opportunities on offer.
He assured that the Ministry has made adequate preparations to deliver a successful and impactful Job Fair.
