The Emir Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, has called for three-day fasting and special prayers for God’s intervention against the spread of COVID-19 in the emirate, Kano State and the country at large.
The emir made the call while addressing newsmen in his palace yesterday.
Alhaji Ado Bayero directed people in the emirate to desist from public gathering and clean their hands and environment always.

He said the call had become necessary considering the emergency situation over COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The Emir also suspended the emirate sitting and other public gathering in the emirate for two weeks.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to maintain peace and unity among the people of the emirate, the state and the nation as a whole.
