Coronavirus: FRSC Orders Transport Operators Across Nigeria To Observe Social Distancing

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has directed commuters and commercial transport operators in all states to observe social distancing in vehicles, even if the states are not under lockdown.

Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, Corps Marshal, FRSC, gave the directive in a statement made available by the Corps Public Education Officer, Mr Bisi Kazeem, on Saturday.

“Social Distancing remains one of the most important public health strategies and quite effective in slowing down the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

“Do not overload; Stop the spread of COVID-19; Health is wealth,” Oyeyemi said.

Ekohotblog reports that President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, March 29, 2020, in a national broadcast announced the lockdown of Lagos and Ogun States and also the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from Monday by 11 p.m. (NAN)
