The police in Jos, Plateau State have arrested a thirty-eight-year-old woman identified as Jemila Bello said to be the wife of a daredevil armed robber on 8th, April 2020, for selling locally made guns to armed robbers.
According to reports, the mother of three was apprehended after some police operatives apprehended some armed robbery suspects, who revealed during interrogation that they bought their guns from her.
The suspect identified as Jemila is an indigene of Plateau State who hawk fruit before she joined illegal arms group supply.

Responding to question from the police, She said that she was a widow and that she never knew that her husband Bello who she married for eight years was an armed robber before he was killed.
It was gathered that the suspect and her friend, Khafila who currently buy locally made guns from her in the town, Jos and resell same to armed robbers was also apprehended.
She was arrested while heading to deliver the locally made gun to the colleague in the community and on getting to her friend’s place, she escaped but later apprehended by the operative team in the community.
The police source who confirmed the incident said that the case was yet to be charged to court as investigations were still ongoing to apprehend other culprits that might be involved.
