Suspected herdsmen in a renewed attack have killed two young men in Agatu Local Government Area and their heads reportedly taken away in Benue State.
A man who identified himself as Oyaje Sule and uncle to one of those beheaded told newsmen that his nephew, identified as Oche Alaade, and a friend were beheaded by the suspected herdsmen.
Sule said that the two men who lived in Obagaji had gone to Ologba but were attacked and beheaded while on their way back to Obagaji.

“The incident happened this morning. One of those beheaded was my nephew. The two young men who lived in Obagaji had gone to Ologba and on their way back, they were attacked by suspected herdsmen who beheaded them” adding that the two young men had been buried without their head because the herdsmen went away with them.
It was said that about a week ago, two people were also attacked by suspected herdsmen and they were in the hospital receiving treatment.
A former Supervisory Councillor in the Local Government, John Ikulono, who also confirmed the report said that “As soon as I got the report, I informed the Local Government Chairman and he told me that he had gone to the area.
The Command Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, however, said that she was yet to be briefed on the incident.
