The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 37-year-old man identified as Ifeanyi Ajaero for allegedly chaining his wife to a generator through out midnight.
Ifeanyi a security guard for a company, who has been transferred to the Anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the station, committed the act on Friday, April 17th 2020 in their home at Sagamu.
According to neighbours who alerted police officials, Ifeanyi was fond of beating his wife identified as Christiana Obiageli Ajaero over the slightest mistake.
To make matters worse, the man said that he did this to the wife because he found out that the wife was a gossip.
Christiana said she did nothing wrong and for peace to reign, she apologized to her husband and begged the public to forgive him as she loved her husband so much and that the marriage is for better for worse, for the sake of the kids at least.
